About Our Piano Moves Service
Piano Moves is a specialist service on its own, separate from a general home move, because a piano behaves nothing like other furniture. Its weight is concentrated and awkward to distribute across a trolley, its case can be damaged by knocks that wouldn’t mark a sofa, and its size means doorway width, staircase turns and floor protection aren’t incidental details — they’re the entire task. We use a piano trolley and protective blankets and take the move at the pace the piano needs, not the pace the rest of the day might otherwise run at.
Piano Moves is quoted from £125 ex VAT, published up front. The final price depends on the type of piano — upright or grand — and the access at both ends: how many stairs, how tight the turns are, and whether the piano needs to go through a doorway it only just clears. We run this service out of our Stourbridge and Kidderminster depots and our Pattingham head office, and across our 30 towns we’ve worked pianos through everything from Victorian terraces to modern flats with lifts.
